I have been to a lot of schoolsJul 28 2017Unknown
I have been to a lot of schools. Although this school is polished and can work, it takes all of your time up. There is no help for the online student, you are on your own. Teachers have better things to do.
The worst part is absorbing the studies and then having too much homework to do the correct assimilation.
With no time off, including weekends and holidays, thats right, the physical school goes on holiday but online stays in class day and night. After 3 years of constant day and night, my mind shut down. With no reward, and badgering from teachers and the office, I believe that a student will not do better when they are threatened to do better or else. That is dysfunctional.
Rewards should be in place such as weekends and holidays and so forth.
You?ll put in 80 to 120 hours per week and never assimilate knowledge. There is no tech dept. for help with programs and software. Call AVID, call APPLE. There are really no Student liaisons as in other schools that can help you find your way through the assignments, where you are or where you should be. A student may not know where they should be or what they are missing. A student helper liaison should be able to see where you missed something online because its easy to.

Homework is very overrated here. There should be one video per week and one assignment per week. Not one video and 17 assignments due in 3 days and 7 more on Sunday. Thats ABSURD. Most people are not robots yet and last I checked they still had a heart that beat and a life to live outside of school.
Not with FSU. They do not consider that you live or have needs.
The faculty just wants a pay check and to go home its assumed. Not all teachers, but a good lot of them don?t even reach out.

i?d love to say good things about a stellar school that has the capability to be absolutely great! It could be the best experience on earth. It could be a lot of things if dept were set up and they tried to help the students learn, because one size doesn?t FIT ALL. Never did and it never will. With that, Full Sail needs to grow up their policies and revamp the structure to be USER Friendly, STUDENT FRIENDLY to where happy student are making their way to their door.

I have great hopes for a great school such as this. Gerry Jones needs to get out of his sports car and get in the board room and revamp it to a student and user friendly school.

It's relatively easy to get into the school but you've got to know what you want to do. You have to be dedicated and committed to sleepless nights, long days, a wonky schedule, weird people and lots of fun.

Way too easy for it to be realistically a decent school.
