I'd say you should be diverse. Have as many different experiences as you can and celebrate them on your application. FSU is not the most difficult university to get into, but definitely worth it. Best of Luck!
It should be possible to get in if you had good grades in high school and tried taking a few advanced classes. You also need decent SAT scores to get in.
Depending on the program it can be competitive, especially in the arts of sciences. If you coming in as a freshman, have strong grades in courses reflecting your intended field of study. If you're a transfer student, they tend to care less about SAT and ACT scores and more about your performance at your previous university.
This was not actually my first choice but out of state tuition in Washington state is too expensive. I just worked hard to get into UW but ended up here.
