Oh, FurmanJun 28 2011Unknown
Oh, Furman. You suck. I hear the people on campus screaming that they want out day after day. They shout phrases such as "bite the wienie, Rizzo," "I onced Valencia and I want to once the crap out of this place," "Furman is the place where living comes to die."

There is no doubting that the food is delicious. One piece of fried chicken a day is amazing. At my old university we were forced to share a pigeon. I love how Furman also suggests you hunt for your food. They pretty much put out a wild animal of some sort (on the weekends) and have everyone try to shoot it. There are some idiots that still consider the bow and arrow to be the most effective killing method. Then after the animal has been killed (last Sunday it was a squirrel), the animal is divided among all the 4,000 undergraduates. If you get a speck of skin you are lucky. Believe me, ya damn fool, the competition is fierce. One time I had to bite the leg off of another student (surprisingly tasty) to get to the goat they were sacrificing. Then I made a ginger sauce to go with it even though people like B2.0 are using the oven at the same time.

The education is rigorous. All the students who fail their first exam are immediately taken out of the class and throw across the fountains (then shot up in the air). Those students who continue to write after professors like Illll Dillweed IV say "pencils and blood down" are taken to the fountains and sprayed through the brain until they shout "BASTA". Tough you might say? I call it a damn good spankin'!

All in all, this whore sucking institution gets harder everyday making it more difficult to get dressed in the morning. My roommate is actually a clothing-eating boar who eats my underwear everytime I leave the room. For heavens' sake I am down to napkins and pipe cleaners for a wardrobe! Furman accepts these porkers (such as JB Cohen) because they save us all. They know what it is to live and what it means to eat. They know that one day Furman alumni will take over this small place we call Earth. Then they will travel to the Sun where they will engage with the likes of people lik the Farnooshes, King Carolt Hare XLII and Omar Epps (who recently lost a toe).

I say to you posters with all my heart, keep up the negativity and bite my ass, krispy kremes all around the world!

They really take the SAT seriously, at my time of writing it's the number one thing they look for so really focus on that. However, there is a rumor they will stop requiring the SAT for applications. Nevertheless, I suggest you take it (if you can do well on it) because it can only help your chances, especially if you don't have the highest GPA.

In high school I took very difficult classes, my GPA was fair, SATs were very good (I was National Merit), and my essays were also very good. I got a VERY sizable scholarship.

I don't think it is very difficult to get into Furman, and they give out a lot of money. However, high acceptance rates does not mean a poor quality student body. The kids who apply to Furman tend to be smart already.

Moderately selective school, however there are many students who choose Furman over very highly sective schools they were acceptd to. If your from a liberal state and are an exceptional student or a minority you absolutely will receive an excellent merit scholarship.
