The Georgia Institute of Technology - How to Get into Undergraduate GT
</a>
I had a good GPA but a below average SAT. It also helps if you are well-rounded and you write good essays. If applying here, I would suggest a strong transcript and an a SAT score at least 150 below the average at a min.
My application wasn't that great. I wrote some really good essays for other schools but if I had turned my GA Tech ones into my English teacher (wait I think I did) I would have gotten a REALLY bad grade. If you have the GPA/ACT/SAT Math scores, nothing else really seems to matter.
Its amazingly easy to get in, either get a really good GPA in high school or a decent SAT score, one or the other, not both. Tech fails to mention this but, they let everyone in and then tries to fail them out. I had a 3.9GPA and a 1160 SAT to get in. Oh and by the way this school is 38th in the nation, not in the top ten as they fail to inform you.
