I had good SATs. That's about it. They say the nursing school is very selective but it isn't as tough as they say to get in. Do as well as you can on the SATs and with your grades, write a good essay or personal statement, and you're good to go. If you have poor or middling grades try to explain them away with your essay, which is something you should do with every college. Having previous medical experience seems to help, so if you're still a junior or a sophomore try to get certified as an EMT, a nurse's aide, or just start volunteering at a hospital. It's not strictly necessary (I never had time to do any of those) but it helps you get in and it helps you tremendously when you start doing clinicals and skills.
I think part of what made my experiences so terrible was just circumstantial and/or bad luck. If you go to Gwynedd-Mercy I hope you have a better time. Good luck!
