I got in largely because Hampshire saw that I was a good fit, which was based on the work I did in high school. My high school is relatively similar to Hampshire, so they type of work that I was doing then easily translated to what I am doing here.

I worked extremely hard in high school, took six AP courses and won two national awards. Then I wasted it on two years in this horrible institution. My friends who don't care about school and are generally lazy have interesting jobs and internships now, just because they earned Bs in state school and talked to Career Services. Any job or internship I've had, I've spent months searching for online.
