Focus on your writing sample, not test scoresAug 24 2008English
Focus on your writing sample, not test scores. Hiram tends to want students that are more well-rounded and activity centered. Admissions will accept a B student with lots of activities and a decent writing sample over a high SAT scorer.

Hiram College is not hard to get intoJun 22 2008Biology
Hiram College is not hard to get into. Just take a look at all the bros in the Quad. Do decently well in school, and get an 18 on your ACT and you'll probably get in.

I was misled by Hiram's representation of itself. I hope you can avoid my situation.

I would recommend a strong writing sampleJul 25 2007English
I would recommend a strong writing sample. Many students are let in on this token alone. There tends to be a strong writing influence in most classes, so good skills are helpful.
Hiram is a selective school, but I didn't thinkDec 05 2003Undecided
Hiram is a selective school, but I didn't think the admissions process was terribly painful. The atmosphere was kept relaxed enough that not many people were overly stressed.
