| | Getting into Humboldt is easy. Try to get a 3.0 in high school and take AP classes, so you don't have as many GE requirements to fill in college. Now that the school is impacted with incoming freshman, meaning that more qualified people are applying then they can admit, it has been a little more competitive. I had a 3.85 GPA and worked hard in high school but you can get in easily with a 3.00 or lower.I honestly wanted to attend a big school such as Cal Berkeley, Cal Poly, or Oregon State. I never thought of HSU until I saw a flier for it and decided to visit for the fun of it. I fell in love as soon as a I got on campus and decided to not even apply to the other schools. I definitely recommend visiting before attending.

Step two: Apply.
It isn't hard to get in here; however, there's a self-selecting aspect that come with this school. People come here expecting one thig but in the end can't handle the relative isolation, the (annoying, yes) drug culture or the gloomy weather and leave or transfer.
