Jan 31 2013
My GPA is 3.5 unweighted, 4.5 weighted, my SATs were only 1740.
I got in to Hofstra with a $80,000 scholarship for the 4 years ($20,000 per year).
It wasn't too difficult. Good Luck.

I am a good student (I'm a nerd!) so my GPA was above 3.0 and I got in no problem, and received a partial scholarship.

extracurriculars: I did so much in my high school. They loved that.

Entrance application: make a great essay, they do read them, and you are not a hofstra id number in their system when they read your application. They know your name.

Went to open houses, spoke to my admissions counselor and met him showed my face to him. They remember faces, and will match it to your application. Face+admissions counselor+good sat+good gpa= shoe in.
