Visit multiple times, attend classes, stay overnight, meet student athletes if you want to play a sport, or dancers if you want to dance. Talk to faculty. Look at the size of the school and decide if small, medium or large is right for you. Don't disregard a small school; more connections, lower student faculty ratios and a sense of belonging. I made the perfect choice, I love my college!

Unless you can afford full tuition, keep your grades up during high school. HWS financial aid is generally generous with merit scholarships for those deserving of them. If you want to play a sport, be sure the coach is actually recruiting you, otherwise you'll be disappointed when you try and walk on the team.
