I recommend having a lot of extra-curriculars, do a campus interview etc etc and maintain high grades!
Biology
I did an application and an essay, and i visited twice. I recommed that you visit and stay over, and research programs more that i did.
Language - French/Spanish/etc.
Do reasonably well in high school, and have parents/family members that donate shitloads of money every year. They never turn down a donor/alumni's child.
Psychology
I was a student-athlete --that's pretty much I'll have had time for.
| Anthropology
I transferred from a community college. Get good grades, be an authentic person, not a clone. Be involved in activities and your community. Have a sense of humor. Have good recommendations and be prepared to work hard.
Perfomance Arts
Do not come here until this new president fixes some big problems. He can..but will he. The horror stories from students and faculties are plentiful.
Undecided
I had an interview and took the SAT's multiple times
Other
i wasn't an awesome student in high school. i focused a lot of my energy on forming a great personal statement. I did not interview.
Other
I didn't do well the first half of high school, but I improved my grades and got a job my junior year. They noticed the improvements (which most major universities would overlook- they only want overachievers). It helps to have personal connections as well.
