not hard to get in to, you probably need a 26 or higher on the ACT, and mostly A's and B's on your transcript. they also like to see that you took honors or upper level classes and that you challenged yourself with AP classes even if you could have gotten higher grades taking regular level classes.

Not too hard, get good grades, get good test scores, and put in the common app, boom your in. I hear the Journalism department is one of the toughest to get into, so I can only imagine how easy the other ones are.

I transferred in from a state school with a very high GPA - this gave me an additional $5000 in Merit aid - something that wouldn't have been available to me had I applied right out of highschool (my highschool GPA was not exciting.. about a 3.1)

I applied to the Park school, but didn't get in. They let me in when I changed my major to Exploratory, though. If your GPA is less than a 3.5 and you aren't the next Steven Spielburg, don't bother applying to the Park school. They are very exclusive. I'm pretty sure that goes for the Whalen school and, to a lesser extent, the theatre department as well. But if the arts aren't your aim, you shouldn't have much trouble getting in.

It's pretty easy to get in as long as you have decent grades and SAT scores. It's harder to get into the popular majors I listed above (music, theater, film, television/radio, and physical therapy), but if you start out undecided, you may be able to work your way into your preferred major.

I got tons of money to attend Ithaca. Scholarships and grants galore.I had a high hs GPA and ok sats. I didnt make my first choice and the fin aid was so awesome, I came here. There are not many smart people here But I will say the music people do have a hard work load.
