Johns Hopkins University - How to Get into Undergraduate JHU
</a>
Excellent and honest essays. They don't choose people by GPAs it is how well you show your potentials to the admissiosn committee as a nurse and a leader.
Pay particular attention to your essay(s). Do not talk about your numbers! Address issues that one cannot simply see by looking at your transcript! Also, Hopkins, like other top schools, doesn't want to hear how smart you are- they already know from your transript-talk about something else.
High scores on SATs help a lot, but they really want to see what you have to say for the $10 essay. There have been many people here who I have talked to and the thing they all have in common is their essay was written about something that was really meaningful to them. That is what the process is all about ... letting the admissions staff know who you are outside of school.
