| | Getting in was simple. I don't think Kent actually turns away any students.
They let anyone with at 20 act or higher in. No letters of recommendation ect.

| Apr 10 2010 | I could have gone to pretty much any school in the country, and I chose Kent State. Kent didn't even give me more scholarship money than my other top choices, but I chose Kent because of the good things people had said about it. Kent is not a competetive school to get into, it has competitive programs -- Journalism being one of them. Good grades in high school will only carry you so far, at Kent you really have to prove yourself once you get here. A real will to succeed will take you a lot farther than a perfect ACT or SAT score.
I took my ACT's and filled out my app. There is a simple form to fill out to apply for freshman scholarships. If you want to go there, keep at least a 3.0 because the GPA requirement has gone up.
