I got into theSep 07 2020Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
I got into the university in what I can only pray are exceedingly rare circumstances. The first college I went to closed due to bankruptcy, and in the mad scramble that ensued I did not do enough research on my options for other colleges. Lesley offered a streamlined application process for all students from my original college, and I took their offer.

Lesley University is for the awkward kid in highOct 31 2016Psychology
Lesley University is for the awkward kid in high school. It is very small so you will always see familiar people. Because it is so small it is like a high school. There are the jocks, emos, preps, hippies, stoners, smokers, and misfits. I consider myself a misfit since I really don't fit in anywhere. If you stood out a lot in high school, you'll be like a dragon in a sheep herd here at Lesley. There is no such thing as diversity at Lesley university which is odd considering that it's in Cambridge. Oh. Btw they lied and said it was very diverse. So if you're reading this I'm proud of you for doing the research I should have done. I've seen many cuts on people's arms. I am not going to judge, but this is usually an indication of something troubling occurring. Or it could also be that they are unsure of who they are. Or have Low self-esteem. Whatever the case may be, just be aware of that. Everyone has a past. Don't understand people in terms of how bad is there problems and how they handle it. A problem is a problem. And that is all. A hug can do wonders. As a minority, you may find that the only thing that spices up the room, is you. If not, then you will fit right in. Connecting with people is very hard. At least in my experience. Because I often have to factor in my gender and my race when I say things. Most people are very sensitive here and have left their open mindedness and sense of humor at home, along with their individuality. I've come across a bountiful amount of discrimination, racism, and so much micro-aggression that I had to research that term, and stereotypes. let's not forget that internalized oppression that the few minority's have here at Lesley. Which I do not blame them for. I'm sure I don't have to mention that there is more generalization then there is Fluoride in the water supply. (YES I've tested this). I'm currently trying to transfer. Lesley university showed me how different I really am. And I don't feel too special about that this time.

Its very easy to get in with a 60% acceptance rate. I got in because I came from a poor state and they wanted diversity. If you can breath and make at least a b in your high school you'll get in.
