Civil Engineering
I got in as a chem major with my chem SAT II 730
Math
Take AP exams and do well on the SATs. Get involved in high school. I was class VP, track captain, on the bball and soccer team, in the Spanish club, National Honor Society, Math club (i'm a dork), etc. Put all you have into school.
Mechanical Engineering
I was involved in many extracurriculars during high school. I made sure that my resume showed that I had a broad range of interests, from music ensembles to being President of the Earth and Space Science club. I suggest going to the campus, meeting with the admission representatives, and do well on math and critical reading on the SAT's. Bottom line, make yourself stand out!
PreMed and Medical
Just send money (scholarship or financial aid forms) and I assure you that you will get in. It is about money here.
| Psychology
I was a prospect for a popular club team as well as being from out of the PA, NJ, CT, MA regions. It didn't hurt that the alumni who gave my interview turned out to be a parent of a friend.
Economics
Keep involved and maintain that GPA. Lafayette is selective, but having an alumni interview and just being yourself could help.
Engineering Department
I would suggest visiting campus and taking an interview.
