The range of students at Lehigh is fairly broad, accademically, it ranges from those who simply cannot handle the courseload and one wonders how they got in, to ones that are there because it offered the best scholorships.

If you are a female applying to engineering, it helps a ton. I personally am not an engineer but I know that the engineering classes are almost 80% male and the university is always looking for more female engineers (especially IBE). Not that I'm reccomending switching your college after you get here or anything, but you could always switch to Business or A&S when you get here.
I'd reccomend spending the day with a student here through the University program to show that you're interested.

Apply ED, it helps a ton. Make several trips the university and sign stuff saying you were there every time. This lets them know you care a lot and want to go there. DO NOT DO THE STUPID WHITE KID THING AND WRITE YOUR ESSAY ABOUT COMMUNITY SERVICE, LOVING YOUR PARENTS, OR SPORTS.
