Get high test scores and involve yourself in multiple extracurriculars. The same things you would do to get into any university.

I played varsity volleyball for 4 years and did some community service. I was in the lower SAT range in Lehigh's average acceptance range (I had a 1240). Lehigh is really big on alumni as well. My older sister attended, and I think that had a part of my acceptance. Also, they really look into the essays you write, as well as heavily weighing the interview (even though it is optional). I wrote awesome essays and my interview went really well. I recommend going on an interview after applying.

If you're a member of a minority group, the university's new diversity policy basically guarentees you admission if you can afford it (assuming you want to) however, the decreasing standards of this institution basically guarentee any student of satisfactory academic standing admission.
