I applied with early admission (meaning I did notJun 16 2014Art & Design Department
I applied with early admission (meaning I did not have to write an essay!). After the school reviewed my application, they invited me to the Presidential Scholarship Competition based on my GPA. Which, after working the competition, I realize that it all just depends on the professors that interview you. The grading is very inconsistent. A few weeks later, they contacted me and let me know that I had received a certain amount of scholarship money to help cover tuition costs. Assuming you want to go to LaGrange College, I would HIGHLY recommend talking to a student that has been through a couple years at the school and doesn't work for the school (aka faculty, staff, tour guides, etc.) All of those people are going to lie to you about how the school because its their job. If you are going to play a sport, ask the upperclassmen on the team about the experience not only with the coach but the returning members of the team as well. Talk to students in your possible major choices. If you don't know how to find these people, contact someone you may know who goes to the school or find current students via linkedin. Make sure you are 100% sure the school is the right choice because $35000 a year is a lot to spend on a school you aren't satisfied with.

Interview and tourMay 29 2011Perfomance Arts
Interview and tour. They presented a nice facade, but once they got their money from me and the drop add period ended, LaGrange College becomes a very vile and evil place. I hope the place gets flattened into a parking lot one day!

Write a good essayJan 05 2008Music - Performance
Write a good essay. That's probably the #1 most scrutinized part of admission besides SAT scores. Don't make your mommy do it. That's just dumb. Professors here have zero tolerance for plagiarism. Zero. You WILL get caught eventually if you do it. So, stay clean, even in the admissions process. It'll put you on the right track.
