Lawrence University - How to Get into Undergraduate LU
</a>
Take a wide variety of courses and do moderately well in all of them. It's better to have B's across the board than all A's and C's. When you arrive you will be immersed in curricula from all different backgrounds- music, history, physics, art, drama, english- and you'll be better prepared if you've seen those topics before. You'll get more scholarships the better you do, and a high ACT score helps in that department (even though the school says it's not required)
It is fairly easy to get into this school as long as you have decent high school grades and some sort of factor about yourself that stands out. I personally had excellent grades and creatives interests, but not a lot of organized extra-curriculars.
Be in lots of extra-curricular activities and show that you can manage being busy. Getting good test scores is helpful, but not the singlularly important thing.
I feel like good creative essays definately helped me get in. In high school I was also involved with a lot of activities and took challenging classes (which sometimes hurt my GPA).
