About 70-75% of students get accepted...the application is free. DON'T DO IT. Sure, Chicago is beautiful...but don't go to this school.

I studied hard (had a 4.4 h.s GPA) and I received a 32 on the ACT. If you want to get in to Loyola make sure that you have a good GPA and high (27 or above) ACT score. The admissions office also places a heavy emphasis on volunteer work.

I actually studied for the ACT and earned a 32. I was also a decent student throughout high school.

Students who want to get in to Loyola should make sure they enjoy themselves throughout high school by participating in various extracurricular activities, while also paying close attention to studies. Loyola places a heavy emphasis on your ACT and GPA. A strong ACT (around 27 or higher) will make up for an average GPA. Loyola continues to get more competitive (the acceptance rate is about 51 %) and more and more students are applying as the University continues to improve, expand, and elevate itself.

I think I just got in because they wanted the diversity, I'm from out of state, and I'm pretty sure Loyola likes the diversity. So brownee points if you're not from Illinois. Other than that, my HS GPA was only a 3.3, my SAT was ~1150 (I think, can't remember exactly). I got in immediately I recall, I doubt they even read my essay. Honestly, if you have the money, this school is easy to get into.
