Just apply, they will take anyone willing to listen

Nothing; this is pretty much the school you want to go to if you never went to class.

I applied in a timely manner and recieved an answer within a few months.

I applied to MCLA my senior year of high school and I basically had a 3.6 GPA and a low SAT score, so it's not that hard to get in. When I applied again as a transfer, I had finished at Columbia with a 3.9 GPA, so I was admitted into the Honors Program. As long as you work as hard as you can academically, your test scores are pretty pointless.

it's so easy to get in here. I don't think they give a hoot about your test scores or your grades. Here, if you want to be an RA, you only have to have a 2.5 gpa and to be on the Dean's list, you only have to make a 3.2 as opposed to Columbia, where it was a 3.75 or higher.

I didnt do anything. The acceptance rate is like 150%. A second grader could get in.

The second I saw MCLA I knew it was the school for me. I didn't apply to any other school. My plan was to apply early and if I didn't get in i would start to look into other options. I got in, and I have never looked back. The people I have met, the things that i have done, the things I have learned. I can't imagine it any other way. My advice is, write a good essay, make it personal. Don't write a long winded formal essay just be real and tell them why you want to go there. Tell them what about the school makes you love it and what about you will be an asset to the school. You can't go wrong! Hope to see you in the fall!
