I took the SATs and ACTs like everyone else,Feb 07 2004English
I took the SATs and ACTs like everyone else, and wrote some crazy essay about myself if I recall correctly. i was not a straight A student, but I had been a good one with a background that was also non-academic, which i think is helpful--I had worked in a genetics company and taken a lot of extra writing workshops outside of my high school context and perhaps those things were beneficial to my acceptance.

Don't let the high acceptance rate fool you, itsDec 11 2003Political Science
don't let the high acceptance rate fool you, its not terribly easy to get into mt holyoke. the applicant pool is self selective and you will be competing against many qualified women. i haven't met anyone here who doesnt have some some unique life story or accomplishment. that said, show interest, write a good essay and come interview!
ACT: 32 SAT: 1350 Female
I joined the crew team, the orchestra, the French,Oct 15 2003Language - French/Spanish/etc.
I joined the crew team, the orchestra, the French, Hawaii and German clubs. There is so much to get involved in here, it is hard not to!
SAT: 1290 Female
I did not get in solely on my academicsAug 15 2003Physics
I did not get in solely on my academics. I was admitted based on my improvement in High School and the other activities I was involved in. I have a wide field of interests, from Tennis, to Softball, to Theater Tech Design, to IT Networking, to Art History. I pushed my diverse interests and my ability to learn and grow as a student.

GPA and SAT mins listed in the college books mean nothing if you prove that you bring more to MHC than a GPA. Out going and motivated individuals are key. Each student is hand chosen by a group of Faculty, Staff, and Students.
