Points for admission-

Decent SAT score (mine was 1800 out of 2400 and I had no worries getting in)

Maintain a respectable GPA throughout high school (mine was around 3.4)

Demonstrate desire to be involved in campus programs/ clubs- admissions love that kind of crap

I was accepted through a summer program which no longer exists, but it was very helpful in easing me into the college experience.
I think if you have decent grades and decent SAT scores, you will most likely get in.
