I participated in clubs such as Habitat for Humanity and Teachers of Tomorrow in High School that provided me with opportunities to learn and grow and which helped to prepare me for college. To get into my university, I made sure that I had a competitive resume and a great GPA. I took five AP classes within my Junior and Senior years in high school and took on leadership roles in school clubs such as my Executive Student Council, Drama Club, and Junior Classical League. I proved to my school that I could handle the work load with my AP test scores and that my talents and leadership experience would be a great addition to their community. For any student who would like to be accepted to Marist, I would highly recommend getting your name known in the admissions office by visiting the school and signing up for the Shadow Day program. The Shadow Day program allows you to spend a day in the life of a Marist student as you follow a current student to his/her classes and social activities for a day. Keep up your grades even if you have the worst case of Senioritis and work hard for those high grades and leadership positions! Trust me, they will get you noticed. I kept up a high GPA, took both the SATs and ACTs, and spent a lot of time and effort on my admission essay. I recommend that potential students take both tests and write a good admissions essay. Also, participating in extracurriculars is beneficial. Business - Management and Administration

I took both the ACT and SAT and I strongly recommend that any potential student does so. I kept up a high GPA, put a lot of thought and effort into my admission essay and had it reviewed by several people. I recommend that any potential student do the same. |
