Marquette doesn't look for students who follow the normal trends you see at most high schools. For example, a student involved in clubs and service organizations would be appealing to Marquette; however, if he or she doesn't use those service positions or clubs to gain something out of them then Marquette will know that the student didn't gain anything from those clubs. Marquette is looking for students that use their personal experience as a learning tool because a student who learns from experience will be best prepared to make a change in the future.
