as a high school student i was on the board and president of a few organizations , had a high gpa, and could write a concise , effective essay. motivated and intellectually curious. was out of state female. Getting in wasn't very difficult. Personally, I have a scholarship and guaranteed admission, so I can't help much in this department. But some of my friends tell me that even the essay they wrote for admission was crappy, but they still made it in. Most of the time the people that attend here were wait-listed at UVA or William and Mary. So it's a lot easier to get in here than those schools. For minorities especially, since the school is trying to increase its diversity, you probably have a much better chance to get in. Not being racist or anything. |
