Since I went to the local high school it took nothing to get in basically. An application, a deposit and financial aid was all. However, I believe this is a poor quality of the school. As an acting staff member at the college now I see that New England College does not turn down many students, probably because they need the money, which it's a business, so every thing revolves around the money and attendance (drop out rates, etc.) I think this is causing more "decent" students to drop out the 2nd semester and make students, like myself, wish we attended a different college.

I studied hard in community college, but it probably wasn't necessary to be admitted. My advice to (any) student, is visit the campus first, do some research, and make an informed decision. NEC has an excellent faculty and a great community. Its value, however, shouldn't be measured in terms of facilities, unless that is most important to you.
