My academic background was enough for NOVA to accept me but they do allow a placement test for those who do not have a high enough record. If you attended a college in the past or are currently attending another school, MAKE SURE your credits will be counted. I learned the hard way from 2 A's I received from FMU Online (previous name of Everest). They were not accredited so my courses were obsolete. Be sure you do your research b/c NOVA is not cheap! They cater mainly to adults who work, mostly full time, & cannot or choose not to attend the average university. The attention is more direct.
I did pretty well in high school and I didn't have a problem getting in. I have friends who want to transfer to Nova from state schools like UCF but they don't have the grades. The best advice regarding that issue would be to make sure you keep your grades up if you want to transfer!
