Honestly, all my scholarship came from local scholarships. When people see that a minority is attending OBU, that raises a red flag. Just make sure the scholarships know you mean business. & you CAN'T do this without God, scholarships, & motivation.

If you really want to go here, all you really need is a heartbeat. I had a GPA under 1.5 from my first university and got in fine (not even under academic probation). You should not consider it an accomplishment if you get in here.

Getting in is super easy. This school isn't all that prestigious (I mean, it is for its category and location, but not nationally and certainly not globally). You can get in with average grades/test scores.

Worked really hard at my grades and standardized tests and it paid off! I was awarded scholarships!

I tried getting into numerous activities but I was never accepted. I have tried being nice to many of the students but I've been told that their "parents would flip if they knew they had a black friend." Ouachita is just something that I'd NEVER suggest to a high school graduate, especially one of color.
