Oklahoma State is a land-grant institution, therefore Oklahoma kids have priority and their acceptance rate is higher than most schools. 1/3 of the school comes from Texas, mainly the Dallas area. Not being from one of these two regions won't hurt your chances of getting in, but this is certainly where most recruiting takes place.
