OU is not a difficult school to get into. You don't have to freak out about a lot of things you have to do in order to make it in. I did work hard to keep my grades up in high school...and then it really wasn't a problem. That doesn't mean it's not a good quality school...we're just lucky that it's so accessible! There's also lots of financial aid available...just apply early, because the financial aid office IS pretty bad, honestly. It can take a while to get the process figured out.
It was really easy for me to get into OU. I had very good grades all through high school (not one C), and I got good ACT scores. Also, I was involved in school and other activities like band, NHS, jobs, and a ton of community service. I didn't even write a essay and they still accepted me. It's not a competitive school.
