I attended a private high school, with an intensive academic program, including Advanced Placement courses.

I had good grades and was accepted to all of the top schools I applied to.

Advice to applying students/those considering: do NOT go to this school. Save your money. Go to any other school. University of Toronto (at least the school of public policy) is not what you think it is. Not even close. It's not even worth the piece of paper. Don't put yourself through the unnecessary debt and stress. This program cares solely about making a profit off your hard earned money. You will not learn anything useful and the professors (95%) will actually work against you and your goals. This is a stodgy, old-school boys club.

Getting in is easy - getting out with stellar grades is tough, especially in the Life Sciences due to the bell curving of grades.
If you're planning on going to graduate school, think twice! As a professor at U of T once said, "It's a nightmare for undergrad students, great for grad students, and a dream for tenured profs."

It's all about the marks. Get it at least to a 80+% average.
