They will take your money, or the federal government's money, whether or not they actually enroll you in a college level course. Note that 98 and 99 level courses are not college level and do not count for college level credit. By all means come to Parkland College if you cannot get in anywhere else, and you just want to pretend you are attending college for a while, so you can collect Pell Grants, etc.

Getting into Parkland is almost too easy. It seems like they will take just about anyone who can fill out the form. GPAs and test score don't seem to really matter. The school will then test new entries to see about class placement levels.Some don't do as well as they think they should and end up in a lower level than they would like to be placed in. Many students from the Chicago area attend here because of price of location near the U of I.
