I took the act/sat took freshman college courses while in high school and submitted my application. I had the option of going to several schools both state and private There is not a doubt in my mind I made the right choice
I would definately recommend going to the campus to visit sometime before you apply. Go for College Days, but go a few days early or stay a few days after. Visit some classes, get a feel for what it is really like.
