It's rather easy, I wouldn't worry. GPA > 3.0, you're in. They want many students, but dont have enough boarding rooms. By the way, it's mandatory to be in one for the first year. Then they fail you and take your money. This is a private FOR PROFIT university...

USP is trying to rebrand themselves as a competitor to IVY league colleges. Though they may be at this point with difficulty, one of the reasons the retention rate is so low is because admissions are still fairly easy. They let in a great number of freshman, and hold them to extremely high standards until many fail out. leaving them in debt and with no degree.

To guarantee acceptance (into the pharmacy program), you have to be in at least the top 25% of your grade. 1800 on SATs or 26 on ACTs. No essay of SAT IIs to do, which is great!

The school is pretty big on alumni so if you have family that go here, it's a major plus. However, don't count on this as your definite ticket into pharmacy because I know someone whose family donates a lot of money to the school and he got flat out rejected.

Also, if one of your family members works for Eli Lily, major plus too since they are a big donor to the school and Eli Lily himself went here.

Application is pretty simple and easy and free!! Apply even if you don't feel you meet the above requirements. It doesn't hurt since it's free!!
