Took IB and AP courses. Always took the most challenging classes to get ahead. Average SAT. High GPA. Involved in 2 sports and 3 clubs in addition to ASB. Just do your best everyday and pray about it.

I had a really high GPA (though I don't think it was strictly necessary), and some solid humanitarian experience. Pepperdine is all about preparing people for lives of "service, purpose, and leadership," so talk about your experiences that show you have those qualities and/or want to pursue them with your life.

One thing I appreciated about Pepperdine, at least when I was applying, was that I heard they look at the "total package" that a student submits and it's not all just about test scores. Take time to write good essays, get top grades in high school courses, do your very best on standardized tests, make it a point to visit the campus and demonstrate your interest, and you should have an interest in developing more than just academically while attending this University (spiritually, giving back to society, etc.)
