Portfolio that doesn't mean anythingOct 24 2016Art & Design Department
Portfolio that doesn't mean anything. Because if your a really good artist they won't give you a scholarship
Anyway. They never do. They accept anyone.

I had high GPA and good portfolio, but I don't think that really mattered. As long as you pay the tuition you're in. They need more students to pay the bills (I assume). I wish they had stricter portfolio requirements.

Put some effort into your portfolio to really show off what you can do and write a top notch essay. The school offers some decent scholarships and a few amazing ones that really help with the costly tuition.

As a veteran, the college was open and willingJan 14 2016Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
As a veteran, the college was open and willing to work with me. You will find a host of negative data about RMCAD online, but I would take this with a grain of salt. The College went through a major transition in 2014, and things have greatly improved. The deck was shuffled, the CEO replaced, and now the Lakewood Community is collaborating with the school in an incredible way. What does this mean for you? Jobs and Portfolio development. I made my portfolio fit the schools required format, used my best material, and submitted it as a draft to my admissions counselor 1st. Do this! I believe you will do best at a school where you want to be and for me this was Colorado. The school doesn't make you - you make the school. That must be your attitude. The Professors are very helpful and always willing to focus on your development in and out of the classroom as an aspiring artist. You'll get back what you give and more.
