| Jun 14 2012 | I had a 4.0 gpa and was top 10% of my hs class. I also had a pretty solid SAT score and played plenty of sports in hs and was also an artist. Honestly, I don't think Rutgers pays too much attention to the extracurriculars because of its size, unless you're a STAR athlete. The best thing you can do is try to get good grades in high school and a decent SAT score; if you do that, you should be just fine.
If you have to grades try to apply straight to the school of your choice or honors program because it can save you time and money down the road.
