Um...this was my safety school.
Honestly, if you had higher goals and a dream school ranked higher than Rutgers, don't worry.

I had a fairly high GPA in high school (3.6) and had a lot of extra carriculars I write down on my application. I was the president of my community service club at my high school (Key Club) and participated and several other student groups. For example, the Italian culture club, the school choir, and volunteered with my family to do additional community service. I was part of the ISI and USFSA figure skating organizations for 10+ years and competed in many high level competitions. I wa also on the skating team in my town. I also had several jobs in high school, and I really believe that these aspects are very important in a college application. In addition, my essay was very unique and interesting as well. I think my application stood out even though my SAT score was not particularly high. I am a very hard worker and after completing my 3rd semester here at Rutgers, I have continuously made Dean's List and have a 3.65 GPA. Once again, I love Rutgers and could not see myself anywhere else.

Pretty much anyone can get in. You should have no trouble being accepted, especially if you are athletically inclined.
