I wrote a paper, had a few letters of recommendation, got good grades in high school, took AP classes and tests and did decently on my ACT. The acceptance rate is fairly high.

SCAD isnt easy to get into anymore, it used to be but now of days its really hard! I honestly dont even have any advice on how to get in, because if I was in high school applying now there is no way my grades and portfolio would get me in. Thank goodness I applied when I did. Good luck! But seriously SCAD is awesome

I worked very hard in high school so that grades wouldn't hinder me when choosing what school was right for me. Actually because I took all AP classes, I was able to transfer in a lot of credit and that has opened up many electives for me to take so I can specialize more in my major. Also because of my tests scores and GPA, I received one of the highest scholarships they offer at SCAD. I highly recommend not slacking off your senior year and working your absolute hardest so that you can receive a scholarship and money won't be the deal-breaker in your decision for what college you will attend because SCAD really is a fabulous school.
