It was the easiest school to get into, heard back from the school in two weeks. However, once you get in, and past a few quarters you'll see how drastically different the shcool is.

Apply early. Submit a portfolio to be considered for an artistic scholarship. Make good grades and score high on the SAT/ACT to get an academic scholarship. Take AP classes to transfer credit in. Research, research, RESEARCH! Your parents may be investing their money into whatever college you decide to go to, but you are investing your time and efforts. Make sure SCAD is where you would like to go.

TAKE YOUR SAT/ACT as many times as possible so you can obtain the most financial aid as possible. AND turn in a portfolio. When I applied I had to have three reccommendations, a letter of content, and filled out an application. I did all the above. GOOD LUCK!

It is not difficult to get into SCAD, it is a private institution. However, many people who end up going have received a combined honors scholarship or have a bunch of loans. If you have a decent portfolio and good test scores you can get at least a few thousand dollars. About a third of my friends received at least $10,000 a year.
