Stevens is pretty competitive, even though the school isOct 29 2006Math
Stevens is pretty competitive, even though the school is trying to ease up a little bit for its business program.
I had an 1100 on the old SATs and a 4.0 in high school. Stevens recommends that one scores above a 1200 on the SATs and at least a 3.5. You could get lower than this, but if you go above the standards, Stevens will offer scholarships and grants that usually pay for a lot of the tuition.
SAT: 1100 Male
SAT scores!! Stevens looks very heavily on SAT scoresOct 17 2006Computer Engineering
SAT scores!! Stevens looks very heavily on SAT scores or if you had a family member in the university already.
SAT: 1250 Male
If you have above 1200 on your SATs, itMar 25 2006Civil Engineering
If you have above 1200 on your SATs, it shouldn't be too hard to get in.
SAT: 1470 Female
- I got a 4Feb 04 2006Computer Engineering
- I got a 4.0 GPA weighted, 3.7 unweighted in high school.
- I was in the top 15%.
- I was in Debate for three years, one of them being Asst. Capt.
- I played a bit of baseball and a lot of Bowling
- I was in the Chemistry Olympiads (didn't do well)
- Took 4 AP classes and 2 AP tests.
- Got an 1100 on SAT.

I would recommend that you (at least)
- Get a 3.5 or higher GPA
- Rank well in your high school scale (15% is good, 10% is guaranteed with scholarship)
- Get higher than a 1800 on the SAT.
- Take APs so you can get into the good stuff earlier (Calculus BC or AB, Physics AB, Chemistry are good starts)
- Do something constructive.
- Be open-minded and present yourself well during your interview (if called for one).
SAT: 1100 Male

I had a 3Aug 26 2005Engineering Department
I had a 3.9 GPA in high school and got an 1100 on my SATs. If you are given the option for an interview, TAKE IT! The interview really can make the difference, especially if you are a borderlining student like I was.

I also participated in some extracirriculars like debate, bowling, and some small-time clubs.

Be active in high school and work pretty hard, and you should not have a problem. Just keep in mind that every school has to look at numbers, but Stevens really tries to evaluate each student they consider accepting.
