I did a lot of community service and had very good AP test scores.

My grades in high school were terrible, I had a 2.5 GPA, but I did very well on the SAT and ACT and submitted those. I also came and did an interview with admissions. My interview skills are decent, so that may have helped. An interview probably helps at any small school.
SAT: 1400 Male

It was HELLLLLLLL!!! I had a 93% avg. in High School, and a 1275 on my SAT's and I had to go on the waiting list for a few months. Out of all of my friends that I met up at SLU I asked if they had similar cases as myself and only a few had better credentials than me and everyone got in without a problem. I honestly believe that the only reason I was allowed to attend is because I was thinking about playing football. Glad to see that the loser coaches had so much pull at that place!

If you want to go then schedule a campusFeb 11 2010English
If you want to go then schedule a campus visit and check out SLU in person. You will get a feel for the school that you can't get from just checking out the website and try to sit in on a class or do an overnight stay!
ACT: 27 Female
All the schools I applied to were interested inApr 13 2009Other
All the schools I applied to were interested in me not only because of my academic record (which was good, not great) but largely because of the number of years I had put in to two areas of life: sports and music. I was not a jack-of-all-trades or resume-builder. I had trained year-round and with seriousness in both those fields, so I could fill a niche in the well-rounded campus they were looking to create. Oh, and if you are serious about any school that's a reach, GO VISIT...A LOT.
