Tips mention: Interview (1), ACT/SAT (2), Grades (5), Sports/Extracurriculars (3), College Essay (7)
Get good grades, like 3Oct 14 2019Linguistics
Get good grades, like 3.5 and above. Also, good SAT/ACT score, but it doesn't has to be perfect. Some extracurriculars, volunteering, achievements, like most of universities out there.
Besides grades, probably the biggest factor for admission is your personal essay. Read the prompt and show your personality beyond what's on your resume.

SPU uses the common app, but make sure that you have good letters of recommendation and have good personal essays.

Took a few AP classes, applied, interviewed, briefly studiedJul 12 2014Communications
Took a few AP classes, applied, interviewed, briefly studied for my SATs, was not a Christian coming into it. I would recommend students who want to go here come with open minds and open hearts.

Application and a "statement-of-faith" type paperApr 07 2013Computer Engineering
Application and a "statement-of-faith" type paper. This doesn't mean you are rejected if you are not a particular Christian, or even Christian at all. SPU stands by its mission to "engage the culture and change the world" and simply wants to bring in students who have the same motivations. This can range from students who want to do mission trips, to students who want to help sick people, to students who want to be able to financially support their own family, to students who just want to get a degree and explore their faith along the way.
I would recommend students to be honest about why they want to go to SPU because I believe a lot of people complaining about how lame the school is wouldn't have been admitted if they had informed the school that drinking buddies were more important than finishing their Theater/Engineering/Nursing degree. The school strives to bring in classes full of students looking to better themselves spiritually as well as educationally.
SAT: 1290 Male
Since the male to women ratio is 4 womenMar 27 2013Economics
Since the male to women ratio is 4 women to every 1 guy. If you are a male you will get in no matter what scores you have. If you are a female you need to be at least average to be considered.
