Interview (16),

Grades (7),
Sports (0),
Essay (12) | Religion/Religious | Jun 03 2011 | Simon's Rock admits students on the basis of their readiness to partake the college experience. Just be yourself when writing essays and during interview! Being all "man high school sucks" isn't nearly enough; a lot of people come here to escape high school but then realize that Simon's Rock is school too, a very rigorous, serious academic institution. So before you even think of applying, be ready to have your life have an academic center. Passion helps. And although we're early college kids and thus seen by some as freaks or whatnot, being socially adept and willing to engage is crucial. The school is largely based on community and discussion, so socially adept looking for a personalized and rigorous experience are generally the types that get in. You'll get in. Trust me. Doesn't matter about your grades or anything. If you do an interview and you seem open to new things and you look good, they'll let you in. I worked really hard through school to have high grades, and yet here they don't give a crap when it comes to getting accepted. Okay well that's just me. Don't go here. Go to a university that doesn't have shitty dorms, bad food, and shitheads. Go somewhere where people actually have matured and are older than little 10 graders or whatever they are. Be yourself. Pretty much everyone gets in, so don't get in from a lie. It sets a bad precedent. |
