Good grades and solid extracurriculars are key to being a successful BU student. Being a mildly involved member of 10 clubs is nothing compared to being a leader or dedicated member of 1 or 2 activities. It's really about finding a balance: academics/grades and social activities. Finding a way to intertwine the 2 is a tremendous skill, and BU strives to make those connections.

It's probably a lot harder to get in now than when I applied. Assuming grades/sat scores are around the average, I think that showing an interest in things outside the classroom would be a big help. From what I've seen, binghamton students are very involved in the University and in campus life.

I didn't have the best grades, but I had great SAT's, so definitely work hard on those. Also, get involved, because Binghamton is always looking for people that are going to better the environment, not just sit in their room and study.

Good grades and good GPA. I also i was a minority so that helped. But the application/essay is important too so put a lot of effort in that.
