Study hard, get a well-rounded experience in high school, don't just be only a study bug, and if you do get in, dump whatever prestige or status you had in high school, people don't give a damn in college.

I put in an application that was it.... Alfred State will take just about any reject or person willing to waste their, or more likely their parents money here. I recommend not applying at all. Even though it's dirt cheap to go to Alfred State, it's not worth it.....

I applied. Thats it. It's not competitive because some of the students can barely speak a coherent thought and they got in.

To get into Alfred State, all that is necessary is to graduate highschool and send an application. I visited, but there was no visit/interview required. No essay or secondary application was required, either. In fact, it is pretty much as simple to get into ASC as it is to enroll in a community college. According to the school newspaper, ASC is becoming a "selective" school, but don't believe a word of that. ASC will probably be selective when hell freezes over.
