Getting into the university was typical. Make sure you're SATs/ACTs scores are average or better. Make sure you complete all paperwork correctly in a timely manner.
There isn't too much to it. You just have to have above a 17 ACT score and a decent average from high school. Just make sure that you have an idea by your second year of what field you want to focus on for your studies. Also, getting involved in an organization and making connections with those in your field and in your dorms, living arrangements, is a good idea for later.
