It's not difficult to get into the school, and not really the most competitive scholastically. BUT if you want a good education, you can definitely get one here, I did! As with any college- it is what you make it.
I've had some trouble with admissions and records, and battling to become an instate student was difficult. But eventually I made it in. I would just recommend to STAY ON TOP OF YOUR OWN PAPERWORK!! A few pieces of my paperwork would be delayed or lost, so it's important to check often and be patient. They DON'T contact you when something goes wrong, YOU must contact them. Also, apply early for scholarships and financial aide. They definitely give out money, but get your application in early so you have the best chance for it.
Computer Science
The university requires that all foreign students (which I am) take the TASP (Texas Academic Skills Program) and take the TOEFL test (Test On English as a Foreign Language), both of which were fairly easy (for me at least). An interview with the director of admissions is also required.
Computer Science
If you can't get in than you are a shit head.
Math
Very easy to get in. I only had a 1200 SAT and 26ACT with a 28 in math and a 640 in math and I got in fine. They are pretty relaxed about deadlines, yet this policy does not transgress into the classes. You definitely need a car on this university.
Psychology
Well I am a high school drop out so it wasn't very hard getting in. I think they have a %100 percent acceptance rate still. I am gonna say as long as you have money for tuition your in.

Admissions is selective but I visited, showed interest in TAMUCC as my first choice, and applied early. If you're in the top half of your class and have an SAT at or above 1000 you can probably get in. My advice is to narrow your choices to a short list, visit each school, and if everything is generally equal, pick the school that feels the most comfortable.
Sociology
Make OK grades.. it isn't hard to get in.
Communications
Geography and Geosciences
apply and have at least average grades, not diffuclt
