The essays! Put a lot of work in your writing because Tufts admission staff read all those essays you write very thoroughly. When I visited for April Open House, the lady handing me my welcome packet recognized my name because she had read my essays!

Tufts cares that you have either good SAT/ACT or a good GPA and that you do cool extra-curriculars (not just playing clarinet for nine years or playing varsity volleyball). Also, they look for how awesome of a person you present yourself as in your essay.
